Volunteering

Volunteering is at the heart of this community, and the Town is recognized for the exceptional involvement of its citizens in all aspects of community life.
 
Recreation and Community Services welcomes volunteers to help with our programs and to participate in the groups and committees who run our parks, beaches, paths and community halls.

Depending on your interests and your availability, we can also refer you to other local organizations in need of volunteers.


Current Volunteer Opportunities
 

Dance Chaperones
We are desperately looking for adults to help supervise our monthly dances for 9- to 13-year-olds. If you like kids and enjoy a lively atmosphere, this is a great opportunity to fit volunteering into a busy schedule. Volunteers give 3 hours a month, from 7 to 10 pm on a Friday evening. Volunteer Drivers
Wellness Volunteer Centre is looking for drivers to take seniors to medical and other appointments. Driving is mostly daytime and local, with occasional requests for longer trips to Sherbrooke or Montreal. Gas and expenses are paid. Please call 450-242-2020 for more information.
