Louise Morin

I have been living in Town of Brome Lake for over 10 years. Like many of my fellow citizens, I first came here as a tourist and fell in love with the town where I decided to plant my roots. After my retirement from Investissement Québec, where I was Senior Vice-President, International Affairs, I decided to get involved in municipal life. Since 2013, I am a municipal councilor for TBL and I am currently responsible for the economic development and tourism, after having chaired the Planning Advisory Committee for two years.

Town of Brome Lake has an enormous potential.  As part of the development of its 2015-2020 Strategic Plan, which I was called upon to coordinate, we surveyed the needs of the population and developed the major strategic orientations and actions to be taken in collaboration with a group of citizens and Town staff. For the first time, TBL has in hand an essential tool that guides the actions of the Council and the Administration and gives meaning to all its actions.

In the same way, I am convinced that the Cœur Villageois Action Plan will help develop the incredible potential of TBL’s downtown. This project, which mobilized the citizens, elected officials and town employees, is the result of several months of consultation and will culminate in the creation of a public place that will be used by both residents and visitors.

Town of Brome Lake by its nature, the quality of its residents and its advantageous geographic location has everything to become again an unavoidable stop in the Eastern Townships and provide unforgettable experiences to tourists and our residents. Several initiatives and incentives will soon be launched to stimulate an economic renewal and encourage the arrival of new businesses that will complement the existing offer.

I am always available to hear your comments and suggestions. Together, let us make TBL the preferred destination for those who frequent the region or are looking to work or start a business in the Eastern Townships.
