Lucy Gagnon

A resident of Lac-Brome for 22 years, I worked in communications and marketing, business development and event management, either as an employee or as an entrepreneur. I was also a member of the Réseau des femmes d’affaires du Québec for fifteen years. All these experiences give me a good vision and understanding of the challenges and obstacles faced by entrepreneurs and why it important to be surrounded by great people and a great team.

Perfectly bilingual, dynamic and versatile, it is with great enthusiasm that I join the municipal sector for a first term. I want to give a voice to all residents of Town of Brome Lake, including those in my Bondville-Fulford district. As I am now retired, I have more time to spend to work on issues that matter to our community and I am dedicated to finding solutions to solve them. Among my objectives, I believe that the revitalization of the downtown core is the key to encourage our local economy, sustainable development, tourism and community life.

My colleagues on the Council can also count on my support to help them to achieve what remains to be completed in the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan and the implementation of the Seniors’ Assistance Project and the obtaining of the “Age-Friendly Municipality” (AFC) designation for TBL. As much as our city welcomes young families with open arms, TBL is also an ideal environment for retirees.

My colleagues have entrusted me with the environmental issue and I am proud of it because it is a subject that is really close to my heart. Even before my election, I became a member of the board of directors of Renaissance lac Brome and sat on the trail committee. With my new role as an elected official, I am committed more than ever to do everything possible to continue to protect our lake and our natural environment, two assets that are as important for the happiness of our residents than our tourists.

I thank you for your trust. I am committed to fulfill my mandate with all the enthusiasm that I am known for. Do not hesitate to contact me if I can help you.
