Brown Bin Distribution in Town of Brome Lake : starting on December 3!

Brome Lake, November 29, 2018 — As preparations continue for the implementation of organic composting, the Town of Brome Lake announces that the distribution of brown bins will start in the week of December 3.

Residents will be provided with a 240-litre bin, which will contain a smaller kitchen bin, a practical guide and a sample bag.

The delivery of the new bin will be handled by USD Global, for the manufacturer IPL. It will be placed in your driveway. You do not have to be present at the delivery time.

The Town of Brome Lake reminds its residents of the importance of not using the 240-litre bin until the week before the first collection, scheduled for early January.

It is also strongly recommended to take the mini-bin out as soon as it is delivered, to avoid forgetting it inside the large bin when using it for the first time.

A more detailed schedule will be sent to you in January.

This measure is in place to significantly reduce the amount of landfilled waste, in line with the Quebec Residual Materials Management Policy, one of the objectives of which is to reuse 100% of organic materials by 2020.
