Providing assistance to the population: a call to everyone

Brome Lake, March 25, 2020 — The Town of Brome Lake is seeking the help of its citizens to create a vast network of mutual aid. A call to everyone is being made to those interested in volunteering as well as to the most vulnerable.

For those who volunteer, services could range from home delivery of essential goods (food or medication), moral support by phone, medical transportation or technical support for online orders. Contact information to indicate interest can be found at the bottom of this press release.

“The Town is already in contact with some vulnerable people through our links with community organizations. However, in times of crisis, we want to have as complete a list as possible,” said Town of Brome Lake Mayor Richard Burcombe. “The better informed we are, the more effective our interventions will be. It is for the good of all.”

Here is the information to provide us if you need help:

  • Age
  • Whether or not you’re in quarantine
  • Specific medical conditions
  • Needs

All information can be sent to the Town by phone at 450 243-6111 or by email at reception@ville.lac-brome.qc.ca.
