November 1st Storm / Situation report on Friday, November 1st at 5 pm

A section of Fulford Road collapsed during the night of October 31 to November 1.

Friday, November 1st at 5 p.m.

The bad weather of the last few hours has left significant damage on the Brome Lake road network. Many sections remain flooded or obstructed by trees or branches, while the extent of wind damage in recent hours is being discovered.

Our teams will continue to work over the next few hours to gradually regain control over the damages. However, we are not in a position to provide a timetable for a return to normalcy.

That is why we ask you to limit your travel as much as possible and stay at home.

Trees, poles and wires have been broken or damaged. Do not try to remove them yourself.

Major breakdowns are affecting the entire town. Hydro-Québec is not in a position to say when the power will return.

For your information, the Centre Lac-Brome remains open until 9 p.m. this evening. It will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

To report damage to municipal infrastructure, call 450 577-1344.
