PRESS RELEASE – Canard & gourmandises: the emblematic bird once again in the spotlight in Brome Lake!
For immediate publication
Duck festivities will be back in a completely new offering this fall in Brome Lake! To restore the full lustre of the past for an event that attracted thousands of visitors, the Town of Brome Lake is teaming up with Faire-Valoir. This firm, operating in the region, has expertise in organizing major tourist events. So was born Canard & gourmandises!
Like a great village festival, the gastronomic festival will combine art and culinary delights. Canard & gourmandises will bring together more than 40 local exhibitors and will be held on Lakeside Road, in the heart of Knowlton Village, on September 20, 21 and 22.
The duck will be prepared in all its flavours, always in harmony with local products. “Exhibitors will be called upon to work together to create cohesion between their creations,” says Josiane Noiseux, President of Faire-Valoir.
Organized for more than two decades, the festivities under the theme of the duck had to be cancelled with a few weeks’ notice last year, for reasons beyond the Town’ s control. “The event is a great showcase for our community and has many benefits for our merchants. We can only rejoice at its strong return,” says Richard Burcombe, Mayor of Brome Lake.
Further announcements will follow in the coming weeks to unveil the programming. In the meantime, we invite you to follow the event’s Facebook page to stay well informed of the latest details.
