The Town of Brome Lake Presents the #wellathome Project!
For immediate publication
Brome Lake, April 24, 2020 — With containment measures in place for more than a month now, the Town of Brome Lake has decided to create the #wellathome directory, bringing together activities of all kinds to do at home.
A host of cultural, scientific, sports and even tourist ideas, workshops and exercises are now available in the comfort of home. Here are a few examples: a series of easy-to-do online workouts by FillesActives, educational capsules from the Granby Zoo, tips and recipes for cooking with your children and training sessions with Quebec athletes, to name but a few.
In the spirit of solidarity, the population is also encouraged to publicize its own initiatives to help get through this particular period. The use of the #wellathome to share ideas on social networks is favoured, in order to appeal to the greatest number of people.
“This project is in addition to the various measures that have been put in place since the beginning of the current crisis,” said the mayor of Brome Lake, Richard Burcombe. “There is no lack of proposals for activities to do at home, and we wanted to make our contribution to bring into one place many of the existing initiatives. There is a great variety, for all ages and interests.”
The activity directory is available under the Recreation and Culture tab at ville.lac-brome.qc.ca.
