What if my garbage hasn't been picked up or my bin is broken?

For a number of reasons, there may occasionally be slight delays in the household waste collection schedule. If your garbage, recycling or compost has not been picked up, please leave your bin at the curb and wait 24 hours before contacting us at 450-243-6111 or by email at reception@lacbrome.ca.

The bins belong to the citizens. If the carrier is negligent and causes damage to a bin, citizens can write to notify us. The carrier is then responsible for replacing the broken bin. If the damage is not caused by the carrier, citizens are responsible for replacing their bin

Where can I recycle my glass bottles?

Glass containers and bottles can be deposited in a specially designed container located in the parking lot of the IGA grocery store (461 Knowlton Road).

Here's a list of the types of glass accepted:

  • Wine bottles
  • Condiment jars and Mason-type jars
  • Glass food containers

Citizens are strongly encouraged to bring their glass items to the container; however, it is ALWAYS possible to put them in the blue bin.
