Research Project on the Prevention of Tick-Borne Diseases

Would you like to learn how to better manage the risk of tick exposure around your home or during your outdoor activities, while contributing to the advancement of science?

Our invitation: Our research team, made up of researchers from Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke, invites you to take part in a training–research–action project on preventing tick-borne diseases.

What are the benefits of participating? Study participants will have access to a live online training session (or a recorded session) with one of our trainers. One-third of participants, selected at random, will be eligible for an in-home consultation with members of our research team to assess risk factors around the home, provide preventive recommendations, and propose an action plan to reduce tick exposure.

Who can participate?

Individuals 18 years of age and over whose home is located in a risk area in the Eastern Townships (Estrie) or Montérégie, near a forest where ticks are present, are invited to participate in the study. To find out whether your home is located in a risk area, click on the following link and follow the instructions (move your mouse over the “i” to view the instructions): https://preventick.ca/Carte.
