Brome Lake, September 24, 2025 – The Town of Brome Lake is pleased to announce the launch of a new citizen consultation module, a digital tool that enables residents to take part in shaping municipal projects.
As outlined in the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan, this initiative demonstrates the Town’s commitment to strengthening citizen engagement and fostering open, constructive dialogue between the community and municipal administration.
Developed by the firm Blanko, the module is integrated into the Citizen Portal. It offers several features, including quick polls, public consultations, and the presentation of major ongoing projects.
First consultation already underway
To mark the launch, an initial public consultation is now live. Citizens are invited to use an interactive map to identify places of interest they feel stand out in Brome Lake. Their contributions will help guide the review of the urban plan and enrich community discussions.
“This new tool reflects our commitment to involving the public more closely in decisions that shape our living environment. Every contribution is valuable and will help us develop projects that reflect the aspirations of our community,” said Brome Lake Mayor Richard Burcombe.
The Town invites all residents to take part in this first consultation and to explore the new citizen participation module, now available through the Citizen Portal.
Citizen consultation policy to follow
In the coming months, the Town will also begin developing a citizen consultation policy to better structure the participation process. This policy will outline the principles, procedures, and best practices that will guide future consultations.
